DESCRIPTION:Co-sponsored by Southwest Behavioral Health Management and\nCapital Area Behavioral Health Collaborative \nRCPA will be holding a special training session on Thursday\, August 31\, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm\, entitled Marijuana Update: New Legislation\, Clinical Considerations\, and Evidence-Based Indications. Act 16 in Pennsylvania has legalized the use of non-FDA approved cannabis compounds for use in the treatment of serious medical conditions. Marina Goldman\, MD\, is an expert in this arena and will be presenting a detailed overview of cannabis; the addictive potential\, cannabis use disorder in adolescents\, and treatment using specific targeted interventions. The afternoon will include a panel to address various issues including legislative action. The training will be held at the Best Western Premier\, 800 East Park Drive\, in Harrisburg.
