May 3–9 is Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week

National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week in 2026 is observed from May 3–9, 2026, focusing on reducing stigma, promoting protective factors, and increasing access to care. The week highlights the importance of supporting the emotional wellbeing of youth through community, education, and professional resources.
This week is a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support the mental health of children, youth, and families across our communities. Together, we can create environments where every child feels seen, supported, and able to thrive.
