The Request for Proposals (RFP) for a statewide contract with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation for its PA SWTCIE Grant InVEST Project has been re-issued. Interested parties should access information regarding this opportunity here.
The InVEST Project is seeking to increase competitive integrated employment outcomes for individuals who are engaged, or are considering engagement, in subminimum wage employment. The project is funded through the Disability Innovation Fund (DIF) — Subminimum Wage to Competitive Integrated Employment Grant, a federal model demonstration grant from the Rehabilitation Services Administration (PR Award # H421D220003).
Please note that the deadline for proposal submission has been extended to Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

The Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) on Wednesday issued Policy Bulletin 23-01, which outlines modifications to the DDAP Fiscal Manual, Prevention Manual, Operations Manual, Case Management & Clinical Services Manual, and the Substance Abuse Prevention & Treatment Block Grant Provisions. The modifications cover various topics, including funding strategies, media restrictions, outcome measures, licensure requirements, treatment definitions, telehealth assessments, staff qualifications and training, and confidentiality of information. The updated documents are available on the DDAP website, and the bulletin applies to all single county authorities and their contracted providers. The changes are effective immediately.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared ODPANN 23-060: Webinar Opportunity: Clarifications and Guidance for the Community Participation Support (CPS) service in the Intellectual Disability/Autism (ID/A) Waivers. This webinar is scheduled for Thursday, July 20, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, with the intent of providing clarifications for CPS service provision and discussing CPS-related guidance regarding Appendix K.

Effective July 10, 2023, the Pennsylvania State Boards/Commissions of the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs will move to a new physical location at 2525 N. 7th St., Harrisburg, PA 17110. The new 7th Street lobby will be open for in-person assistance for licensure needs. Mailing addresses will remain the same.
Board meetings will continue to take place within Penn Center (2601 N. 3rd St.) until further notice.
