ABLE Legislation
Senator Lisa Baker’s legislation to establish Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) tax savings accounts for individuals with disabilities in Pennsylvania (SB 879) passed the House Finance Committee on March 16 and will now move to the full House for a vote. The state’s Treasury Department will be responsible to establish these accounts.

Building Bridges Rescheduled
The Joint Aging/Intellectual Disability Cross-Systems Conference, Building Bridges, originally scheduled for September 15-16 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled
Building Bridges Status
The state’s Annual Building Bridges Conference scheduled for September 15-16 may be delayed. The Joint Aging/Intellectual Disability Committee which coordinates this conference is awaiting a decision
