The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has announced that the remaining 2025 Employment Symposiums, which were scheduled for October 17 and October 22, have been cancelled. Both will be rescheduled for a later date.
The Adult Mental Health and Children’s Services Committee meetings for Wednesday, October 8, 2025, have been cancelled. RCPA will announce details of a potential combined meeting in November once information is available. The Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) has announced the cancellation of the procurement for Agency with Choice. RCPA and partners in the Coalition for Choice had opposed this new service and advocated for canceling the procurement. You can view the announcement here.

RCPA’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Committee meeting on August 15 has been cancelled due to conflicts encountered by individuals scheduled to present at the meeting. The next meeting will take place as scheduled on November 14, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Dehoff.
The RCPA Physical Disabilities & Aging Committee meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, has been cancelled. RCPA is working on a new date for the meeting and will inform members as soon as this has been scheduled.

This is an announcement that the 988/Crisis Work Group meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, has been cancelled. RCPA will reschedule the meeting in the coming months. Currently, there is no movement or update in the OMHSAS Crisis Regulations release for public comment. Additionally, at this time, OMHSAS is making structural changes in their Policy and Crisis divisions. There are legislatively very few federal or state bills suggesting substantive changes in the development of the 988 system.

Children with Medical Complexities Training Series Part 1: Expanding Supports for Children with Medical Complexities
The session previously scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, 2022, is now cancelled. The session will be rescheduled at a later date, and an announcement will be sent with new details.
The previously scheduled webinars for the Western and Southeast regions on May 3 and May 4, which were titled Opening and Returning to Full Capacity for Day Center Programming, Infection Prevention Principles, are cancelled. The sessions will be rescheduled with dates yet to be determined. You can expect an email in the coming weeks to announce the new dates.
