The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared ODPANN 25-077. All entities that complete investigations are required to conduct the Certified Investigator Peer Review (CIPR) process as outlined in the CIPR Manual. This course is offered as an opportunity to support entities to complete high-quality CI Peer Reviews that help mitigate risks to individuals receiving services.
There are two parts to the CIPR course:

This announcement states that registration for the September – December 2025 Certified Investigator (CI) Initial Certification Course classes (also known as cohorts) is now open on the MyODP website. The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) contracts with Temple University Harrisburg to deliver the ODP Certified Investigator Program. ODP and Temple University have developed a new online training module that provides an additional learning opportunity designed to enhance investigatory skills and supplies helpful resources to Certified Investigators (CI), Administrative Review Committee members, CI Peer Reviewers, Incident Management (IM) Representatives, and others involved in the incident investigation process.
The Death Investigation lesson has been added to the “Additional Learning Opportunities” section on the MyODP PA ODP Certified Investigator Program home page.
