Registration Now Open for October Certified Investigator (CI) Forum
ODP Announcement 22-106 states that the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) contracts with Temple University Harrisburg to deliver the ODP Certified Investigator Program and that ODP and Temple University are conducting Certified Investigator Friday Forums. These forums are an opportunity for current Certified Investigators and other interested parties to receive up-to-date information about the incident investigation process.
The next session date and time is Friday October 7, 2022, at 10:00 am – 11:30 am. The topic being covered is the Certified Investigator Report (CIR).

Posting of CI Forum Q&A Documents and Announcement of Open Registration for June CI Forum
ODP Announcement 22-053 serves to communicate that the Temple University Harrisburg Certified Investigator Program and the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) will be facilitating Forums for Certified Investigators (CIs) and others involved in the incident investigation process, as well as to announce the posting of Q&A documents from past CI Forums on MyODP.
The session date is June 10, 2022, and the topic is “Peer Review Overview.” There will be two sessions available on June 10, 2022, from 10:00 am – 11:30 am and 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm. The same topic will be covered in each session.
Seating is limited, and you can only sign up for one forum session per date. Participants can submit questions via email prior to the session until close of business (COB) the Friday before the scheduled forum on June 3, 2022. Registration for June 10, 2022, is currently open and will close at the end of the day on June 8, 2022.

Univ. of Minnesota’s Institute on Community Integration Policy Forum: “How Much Do DSPs Make? Putting Wages in Context”
Reminder for RCPA and PACHC Telehealth Forum on March 16
RCPA and our Delta Center Grant partner, the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC), invite people with first-hand experience and advocates using or trying to use telehealth services to share your experiences.
The discussions and subsequent recommendations will guide the PA Delta Center team in its advocacy in developing regulations, bulletins, and practices that ensure equity and access to services for all communities. These forums are to bring advocates and stakeholders to the table to provide life experience and perspectives that can shape policy development. We hope you will join us for one of these events, as your participation will be key to our ongoing work in ensuring a healthy and sustainable telehealth footprint in Pennsylvania.
People who are volunteering to join the forum for free will be paid a stipend of $20/hour for their time or given an equivalent in a gift card.

Forum: Unpacking the Pediatric Behavioral Health Crisis
Title: A Panel Discussion: Unpacking the Pediatric Behavioral Health Crisis and Key Steps to Address Short- and Long-Term Needs

Description: Join us for a panel discussion highlighting aspects of the ongoing pediatric behavioral health crisis, seeking your input, and discussing a path forward for ways to better support children and families. As you likely know from your professional and/or personal experience, far too many children and youth across the country are unable to access timely, quality mental health care. What was a crisis before the pandemic has only worsened. According to the CDC, since March 2020, mental health visits have increased for children (ages 5–11) by 24% and youth (ages 12–17) by 31%. In the first half of 2021 alone, children’s hospitals reported cases of self-injury and suicide in ages 5–17 at a rate 45% higher than during the same timeframe in 2019.

A national campaign, Sound the Alarm for Kids, is bringing together organizations calling on Congress to act now to prevent further unaddressed harm to our nation’s children. Every child in America should have the right to live up to their full potential. The mental health crisis is a national emergency – and we’re in the fight of our lives to end it.
