At the August 2023 ISAC meeting, Self Advocates United as 1 (SAU1) presented a tribute to Carolyn Morgan, who was an inspiring self-advocate who encouraged many others to speak for themselves. SAU1 has developed a Youth Empowerment Fellowship program in memory of Carolyn, and is seeking support for this program, including financial. The Information Sharing and Advisory Committee for the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) met this week. Brief updates were given regarding the employment symposiums that were held in coordination with ODP and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) in April and May as well as Selective Contracting proposal activities. Reports were also given for ISAC Recommendation #10 Expand Options for Community Living, and for ISAC Recommendation #14 Promote Racial Equality.

ODP Announcement 23-021 reports that the 2022 Information Sharing & Advisory Committee (ISAC) Annual Report is now available. ISAC, working with the PA Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), developed a series of recommendations and strategies to support achievement of the vision in Everyday Lives. This publication provides 2022 updates related to those recommendations and strategies. Stakeholders are encouraged to use the information contained in this report in their work supporting people with disabilities.

The ODP Annual Data Report provides statistical information to educate our stakeholders about the individuals ODP serves and the services they receive. This data provides an important overview of the service system ODP oversees that supports individuals with disabilities. The accompanying resource, Everyday Lives: Values in Action Information, Sharing and Advisory Committee (ISAC) Recommendations, Strategies, and Performance Measures, provides information on indicators of success used to gauge the effectiveness of the work of ODP.
