ODP Announcement 20-081 announces an interactive, self-paced, virtual FBA training to replace the existing train-the-trainer model. The virtual course is housed on the MyODP Training & Resource Center.

This updated online FBA training aims to ensure a level of competency among Behavioral Specialists who are conducting FBAs across the Commonwealth reflecting current best practices.

The examples, tools, and strategies outlined in this training are applicable to supporting individuals from childhood through adulthood. The learner will be able to download a variety of direct and indirect assessment tools that can be put into practice immediately.

Effective immediately, newly hired Behavioral Specialists in the AAW or ACAP should complete

this virtual training prior to delivering services. Newly hired Behavioral Specialists who completed an in-person course through the train-the-trainer model prior to the release of this communication, will have access to the current online test until September of 2020. After July 31, 2020, no in-person train-the-trainer courses should be held. Behavioral Specialists that were qualified to provide BSS in the AAW or ACAP prior to the release of this communication are not required to take this course at this time.
