PA Office of Developmental Programs

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has sent a reminder regarding the Medication Administration Scheduled Outage and Critical Date Extension.

Important infrastructural changes to the Medication Administration Training Program will take place June 28, 2019 through Friday, August 9, 2019, which will cause an outage. Working on the system during this outage could cause work to be lost.

This outage will impact Agency/Entity Administrators, Medication Administration Primary Contacts, Agency/Entity Training Directors, and Existing/Prospective Medication Administration Trainers employed by one of the following applicable Department of Human Services (DHS) or Department of Aging licensed environments:

  • Chapter 2380: Adult Training Facilities
  • Chapter 2390: Vocational Facilities
  • Chapter 2600: Personal Care Homes
  • Chapter 2800: Assisted Living
  • Chapter 3800: Child Residential and Day Treatment Facilities
  • Chapter 6400: Community Homes for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities that serve eight or fewer individuals
  • Chapter 6600: Intermediate Care Facilities for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities that serve eight or fewer individuals
  • Chapter 6600: Intermediate Care Facilities for Other Related Conditions that serve eight or fewer individuals
  • Title 6 Aging, Chapter 11: Adult Day Services

To inform providers that Chapter 2380, 2390, 6400, and 6500 regulations that will be changed by the Chapter 6100 regulatory package will be explored during renewal inspections beginning July 1, 2019.

ODP Announcement 19-077 provides updates to the schedule of virtual trainings and virtual office hours for July 2019. This alignment of the training schedule for all ODP programs provides courses for supports coordination organizations and agencies, other service providers, and other professionals supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental disabilities.

ODP released two announcements regarding Wage Ranges and Benefit Allowances for Specific Participant Directed Services that will become effective with the new fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019.

ODP Announcement 19-075 is in regard to Agency with Choice (AWC) for AWC Financial Management Services (FMS), participants utilizing the AWC FMS model, managing employers, Support Service Professionals (SSPs), Administrative Entities (AEs), and Supports Coordination Organizations (SCOs). The announcement includes wage ranges and hourly benefits allowances attachments and tables.  There is guidance regarding enhanced communication and a new procedure code for the Chore Service. Homemaker is a separate service. The wage ranges for both services are the same and remain unchanged from FY 2018/19.

ODP Announcement 19-076 applies to the Vendor Fiscal/Employer Agent (VF/EA) services. This announcement also contains wage ranges and hourly benefits allowances attachments and tables, as well as guidance regarding enhanced communication.

ODP Announcement 19-074 introduces the implementation of an ODP communication notification feature for all MyODP registered users. Users will begin receiving web and email notifications for all ODP communications that are added to the MyODP Communications page. Users who do not yet have an account may create a new account on MyODP to be automatically subscribed to ODP communications. ODP communications will include ODP Announcements, Health Alerts, ODP Newsletters, and information on upcoming events. MyODP users will be subscribed to all ODP communications by default. Users may select targeted audiences and opt out of receiving ODP communications at any time.

When logged into your MyODP account, ODP communications will show within your notifications panel. The notifications bell next to your username will display a counter of new notifications that have not yet been read. Clicking on the bell will display your most recent notifications, including ODP communications. This will display as “ODP Announcement.” Clicking on the notification will direct you to the full communication.

You will also receive communications through the email that is registered to your MyODP account. The email will contain a link to the announcement, its location on MyODP, as well as a link to update your subscription preferences. To manage subscriptions, click on the link to update your subscription preferences within each communication that is sent to your email. You may also find the manage subscriptions link on the MyODP Communications web page.

  • If there are any audiences that you do not wish to receive communications for, you may uncheck the box next to each audience and click update subscriptions to save your settings.
  • At the top of the manage subscriptions page, there is a link to the notification preferences page which will enable you to unsubscribe from email and/or web notifications.
  • To unsubscribe from notifications, locate the section labeled “database module audience notifications” within the notification preferences You may click on each of the green “On” icons to turn news feed notifications off for web and/or email, whether online and/or offline.
