The field of health and human services is shifting at a rapid pace, and it is vital for providers, advocates, and legal experts to remain up-to-date on policy as well as involved in the advocacy process. Beyond Inclusion: Thriving in the Community

The Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has announced that registration is now open for the 2025 Pennsylvania Autism Training Conference (PATC). The virtual conference will be hosted on September 30 and October 1. The theme for this year’s conference is Beyond Inclusion: Thriving in the Community. PATC will include presentations and panels from subject matter experts, providers, self-advocates, and families. This conference provides professionals working directly with individuals with autism across the lifespan with tools, strategies, and resources to help provide the most effective support.

Who Should Attend:
Professionals looking to increase their knowledge of and/or ability to support individuals with autism across the spectrum and the lifespan. PATC welcomes all professionals supporting individuals with autism in Pennsylvania, in all systems.

Call for Artists:
PATC is pleased to invite artists on the autism spectrum to exhibit their artwork virtually during the conference. They are looking for artists on the autism spectrum to showcase their art in a virtual “art gallery.” Artwork includes:

  • Paintings;
  • Drawings;
  • Photography;
  • Jewelry;
  • Greeting cards;
  • Pottery; and
  • Fabric crafts.

The art show will consist of artwork supplied by artists and will be linked to ODP’s website.

The Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Subcommittee meeting was recently held on July 2, 2025. During the meeting, a number of presentations were given. In addition to the presentations, the agenda and a document that provided follow-up information from the June 4, 2025, LTSS Subcommittee meeting were provided.

The next LTSS Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for August 6, 2025. The meeting will be held from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Forest Room at the Commonwealth Keystone Building, which is located at 400 North Street in Harrisburg, PA.

The 2025 IM4Q Annual Statewide Training (AST) will be held on July 29 – 30 at the Harrisburg Hilton. While it is understood that travel costs may be prohibitive at this time, please remember the IM4Q Manual lists attendance at the AST as a responsibility for all IM4Q local program coordinators and AE leads. Funds should be allocated for the AST each year, even though the AST now alternates between in-person and virtual attendance. Monitors, board members, and supports coordinators are also encouraged to attend as able. SCs may again register two for the price of one.

Registration, especially for the in-person years, is crucial. Registration numbers are used to calculate the number of information packets to be created for attendees and the amount of food needed for the meals that are included. The deadline for registration is July 16, so please use the registration link in the agenda to register at your earliest convenience.

In addition, if hotel rooms are needed, please make your reservations now. The block of rooms at the special rate can only be guaranteed until July 7. Contact info for the Harrisburg Hilton is also included on the agenda.
