The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) contracts with Temple University Harrisburg to deliver the ODP Certified Investigator (CI) Program, which includes conducting Certified Investigator Forums. These forums are an opportunity for current Certified Investigators and other interested parties to receive up-to-date information about the incident investigation process.

The next session date and time is Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10:00 am – 11:30 am.

The topic will be “Communication During Investigations Part II,” presented by ODP’s Special Populations Unit. During this session, they will discuss effective ways to ensure communication accommodations are offered during interviews with those who may not use traditional communication.

If you have questions regarding the topic, please submit them via this link before the close of business Friday, March 7, 2025.

ODP and Temple University have developed and released new online optional lessons, which are designed to enhance investigatory skills and be helpful resources to CIs, Administrative Review Committee members, CI Peer Reviewers, Incident Management (IM) Reps, and others involved in the incident investigation process.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) contracts with Temple University Harrisburg to deliver the ODP Certified Investigator (CI) Program. ODP and Temple University have developed the CI Program Spotlight Quarterly Newsletter, which provides helpful information and resources to Certified Investigators, Administrative Review Committee members, CI Peer Reviewers, Incident Management (IM) Reps, and others involved in the incident investigation process. Every three months, there will be a new issue of the CI Spotlight.

This edition of the newsletter, Volume 1 Issue 4, includes articles on Process Deviations, Recertification Information, and more. This edition can be found on the MyODP website by following the link on the CI Program home page.

The Institute on Disabilities at Temple University is inviting people to participate in a paid interview about the Direct Support Professional (DSP) workforce.

Who can participate?

  • Current and former Direct Support Professionals (DSP) or Support Service Professionals (SSP).
  • Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) or their family members with experience of migration and/or the DSP workforce crisis.
  • Direct support providers.
