(Harrisburg) – Today, Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman (R-34) announced the chairs for each of the 22 Senate Standing Committees for the 2021–2022 Session.
“I am proud to announce this session’s standing committee chairs,” Senator Corman said. “These members will continue to provide careful and considerate oversight as we delve into the issues before us in the 2021–2022 legislative session.”

Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Discussion
Friday, February 19, 2021 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
The Pennsylvania Commission for Women is hosting this event to bring awareness to maternal mental health and the stigma associated with substance use disorders. The panelists will discuss Opioid Use Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs), and the Healthy Families America Safe Start program. There will also be a brief question and answers (Q&A) session at the end of the presentation. This event will be recorded and made available on the commission website.

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) recently put out three funding announcements related to the Substance Abuse Education Demand and Reduction Act. Non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for all three solicitations; however, the Categories Two and Three Funding Announcement is more specific in what type of nonprofit can apply.

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s (PCCD) Office of Justice Programs announces the availability of Substance Abuse Education and Demand Reduction (SAEDR) Category Two and Category Three funds to support the implementation of strategies aimed at combating opioid/heroin overdoses in Pennsylvania communities. Under this solicitation, funds are being made available for projects designed to educate the public about the dangers of substance use and/or reduce demand for these substances under the following two categories:
