MLTSS Subcommittee Meeting to Convene on May 12
The Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) Subcommittee will convene for their next meeting on May 12, 2023, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Pennsylvania Department of Education in the Honors Suite, 1st Floor, at 333 Market Street in Harrisburg. The meeting will be held in person and will also offer the ability to participate via webinar and remote streaming. The links to participate are provided below. The agenda has been released for the meeting. Please note: this will be the first MLTSS meeting that the Office of Long-Term Living’s (OLTL) new Deputy Secretary, Julie Marsala, will be attending.

TBI Advisory Board Meeting Planned for May 5, 2023
The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Advisory Board, established under section 1252 of the Federal Traumatic Brain Injury Act of 1996 (42 U.S.C. § 300d-52), will hold a public meeting on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The meeting will be held in person at the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network, which is located at 6340 Flank Drive, Harrisburg, PA, in the Cambria Conference Room.
Meeting materials will be sent out before the meeting and will also be available on the TBI Board’s website as well as the meeting location. Questions regarding the meeting should be directed to Nicole Johnson.
The Department of Health’s (DOH) Head Injury Program (HIP) strives to ensure that eligible individuals who have a traumatic brain injury receive high quality rehabilitative services aimed at reducing functional limitations and improving quality of life. The TBI Board assists the DOH in understanding and meeting the needs of persons living with TBI and their families. This quarterly meeting will provide updates on a variety of topics, including the number of people served by HIP. In addition, meeting participants will discuss budgetary and programmatic issues, community programs relating to traumatic brain injury, and available advocacy opportunities.

President’s Committee for People With Intellectual Disabilities Public Meeting — May 1

The Committee will collectively discuss emerging Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) issues identified by four PCPID work groups in the areas of direct support professionals, employment, community living, and federal support programs. This discussion will help develop a general framework for the preparation of the PCPID Report to the President.

RCPA ICWC/CCBHC Meeting Rescheduled to May 24
The RCPA ICWC/CCBHC meeting that was originally scheduled for April 11 has been rescheduled to May 24. This is so RCPA Policy Directors and members can view the House Budget Hearings for DHS, which are scheduled April 11. The meeting time will remain the same, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, as will the format. Please register for the meeting here, and note that if you registered for the April 11 meeting, you will need to re-register for this event.
