The Department of Human Services (DHS) has announced a public meeting that will focus on Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). The meeting is scheduled for March 24, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm and will be held virtually. During this meeting, DHS will provide additional information and updates related to the DHS EVV implementation. Please register to attend this public meeting on the registration page. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

If you have a question that you would like to have read and answered during the meeting, please submit it electronically before March 15, 2023.

The PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) has developed a draft of the Driving & Vehicle Services policy. The draft will be posted on OVR’s website for public review beginning January 30, 2023. Virtual meetings will also be held via Zoom at 10 am and 3 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2023, to provide an overview of the policy and take questions and comments (content will be the same in both meetings).

The public is invited to comment on the draft policy for 30 days. Comments may be directed via email through February 28, 2023.

The agenda for the February 1, 2023, Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) Subcommittee has been released. The meeting will be held in person at the PA Department of Education Honors Suite, 1st Floor, 333 Market Street Harrisburg, PA 17126 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. There is also the option to participate via webcast. The link to register to participate via webcast, as well as the remote streaming link, is available on the agenda.

The RCPA 988/Crisis Regulations Work Group meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, February 6, 2023, at 3:00 pm. The group was originally slated to meet on March 23, 2023, but there was a request from the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) to meet with our members to review several important crisis system updates as well as information regarding a small provider work group to collaborate with OHMSAS for a specific project around mobile crisis.

In addition to the OMHSAS updates, we will revisit the activities of the work group to date, prepare for the OMHSAS section of the call, and map out a strategic agenda in preparation for the release of the crisis regulations.

The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Advisory Board, established under section 1252 of the Federal Traumatic Brain Injury Act of 1996 (42 U.S.C. § 300d-52), will hold a public meeting on February 3, 2023, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network, 6340 Flank Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17112, in the Cambria Conference Room.

Meeting materials will be sent out before the meeting and will also be available on the TBI Board’s website and at the meeting location. Questions regarding the meeting should be directed to Nicole Johnson.

The Department of Health’s (DOH) Head Injury Program (HIP) strives to ensure that eligible individuals who have a TBI receive high quality rehabilitative services aimed at reducing functional limitations and improving quality of life. The TBI Board assists DOH in understanding and meeting the needs of persons living with TBI and their families. This quarterly meeting provides updates on a variety of topics, including the number of people served by HIP. In addition, meeting participants will discuss budgetary and programmatic issues, community programs relating to traumatic brain injury, and available advocacy opportunities.

A Financial Management Services (FMS) stakeholder meeting has been scheduled for January 6, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm. During this public meeting, there be a discussion on the administration of FMS under the Community HealthChoices (CHC), OBRA Waiver, and Act 150 programs. Representatives from the Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) and CHC Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) will be in attendance to discuss the FMS program.
