ODP Announcement 24-049 announces that the recording of the live virtual training sessions held in February and March 2024 regarding implementation of the Residential ISP Staffing approach for Program Specialists is now available on MyODP.

The recorded training session is provided for Residential Provider Program Specialists who contribute to ISP development but were unable to attend the live, virtual training. The training focuses on Program Specialist expectations in ISP development and ensuring consistent, statewide implementation of the Residential ISP Staffing approach.

Program Specialists are responsible for providing critical and up-to-date information to the ISP team so that the ISP is person-centered and mitigates risks to health and safety.

All participants must complete the current prerequisite online training (Residential ISP Staffing: It’s About the Person, Not the Numbers) before being able to view the recordings.

This is a final reminder that, per ODPANN 24-041, providers must request the one-time workforce recover supplemental payment no later than May 15. Providers may put in a request by completing a brief ODP survey. As of the morning of May 6, 2024, the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) received requests from 505 providers.

If your MPI is on the ODP spreadsheet, this will serve as confirmation that your agency’s request has been received. ODP will release a similar file after the deadline. Late requests will not be accepted.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared a revised edition of ODPANN 21-073. The purpose of this announcement is to continue promoting awareness of pressure injuries as part of ongoing efforts to assure participant health and safety. ODP is working in conjunction with the state’s Health Care Quality Units (HCQU) and Support Coordinators (SC) to implement a Skin Integrity Initiative.

The goals of this pressure injury initiative are to raise awareness about pressure injury occurrences, to assist in the identification of resources, and to identify appropriate preventive measures that will reduce associated health risks and death. See the announcement for implementation, data collection, and reporting methods that will be used going forward in this initiative.
