The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared an ODP Announcement titled Now Available: Amendments to the Office of Developmental Programs’ (ODP) Waivers Approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This communication announces the availability of the CMS approved Waiver Amendments on the Department of Human Services (DHS) website.

ODP will be holding two webinars to provide a general overview of major changes made in these approved waiver amendments. There will be time during the session for presenters to answer questions submitted by participants during the webinar. The date, time, and registration link for these webinars are as follows:

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared ODPANN 23-082: Registration Now Open for December Certified Investigator (CI) Forum & How to Access CI Forum Question & Answer (Q&A) Documents. This communication announces that the Temple University Harrisburg Certified Investigator Program and ODP will be facilitating forums for CIs and others involved in the incident investigation process. The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has announced that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved ODP’s proposal to expand funding made available to Administrative Entities (AE) and Counties to support individuals and families on the waiting list. This will allow for the pursuit of innovative strategies to provide alternatives to Community Participation Support (CPS) services. Please read the announcement for full details.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has reached out to remind Medication Administration trainers that the 2004 paper course, as well as the 2004 and 2013 manuals, will be discontinued and no longer valid for use in training students after December 31, 2023. The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared a recent announcement that provides eligible providers with the application to receive supplemental funds as part of the ongoing systemic recovery of services for people with an intellectual disability and autism. You can view the announcement here. Eligible providers who are interested in receiving these supplemental payments must complete the application and submit it to Rick Smith by September 30, 2023.
