Take a FREE online course to learn about AAC with TechOWL. A certificate of completion will be provided. Go to the AAC Community AAC Essentials web page and enroll in the course that best meets your needs:
Each course is designed to value your time and give you practical information. The lessons are short, and you can do them whenever you like. Plan to spend 2–3 hours on the course. You can also choose individual lessons to meet your needs.
Please share with your networks, teams, and families that use, support, or work with AAC.
PFSA is continuing to offer virtual Mandated Reporter Training at no cost to mandated reporters in Pennsylvania.
This three-hour virtual training is approved by the Departments of Human Services, Education, and State and meets all requirements for training on recognizing and reporting child abuse (to include Act 126 for school employees). It is also approved for continuing education credits under Act 31 (Department of State for health-related licenses) and Act 48 (Department of Education for teachers) at no cost. PFSA will submit your training verification to the Department of State or Education as appropriate on your behalf (details provided during training).
Please register for your preferred training date and time by selecting the session time/date in the list below. Each person must log in through separate devices, using the unique access link emailed to them after registration to receive credit. Attendees will learn how to develop an employer-focused approach to negotiating customized job descriptions on behalf of individuals with disabilities. Participants seeking certification are expected to commit approximately 40 hours of fieldwork with/on behalf of a learning partner under the guidance of Marc Gold & Associates (MGA) over the course of 4 months. This is the prerequisite training to complete certification through MG&A.
*Certification in Discovery is a prerequisite for seeking certification in Job Development.

Where: This training will be done completely online. Registrants must have a computer or laptop with a webcam. The training will use Zoom to host the conference. Registrants will not be able to join by phone.
