Updated Government Benefits and Representative Payee Services Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) Announcement 21-019 is informing stakeholders that Government Benefits and Representative Payee Services During the COVID-19 Emergency – Updated as of 2-9-2021 is now available. This document provides information about how some medical assistance (MA) requirements that were on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic are beginning to be applied again.

This guidance also reminds stakeholders about how federal pandemic unemployment compensation benefits and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) economic impact payments (or recovery rebates) will affect benefits from the State and Federal Governments such as MA, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for individuals served by ODP.

This information pertains to participants who are enrolled in the Consolidated, Community Living, Person/Family Directed Support, or Adult Autism Waivers, individuals enrolled in the Adult Community Autism Program, and individuals who receive base-funded services.
