Meeting

The Mental Health Safety Net Coalition call scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 1:00 pm is cancelled and will be rescheduled. The Coalition’s Communications Team will meet this coming Monday to update the agenda, and a new date and time will be determined.

We currently remain at a budget impasse, with several critical areas still awaiting resolution. The Coalition continues its work, and we look forward to our next meeting.

The Pennsylvania Pediatric Shift Care team announced the next Stakeholder Update Call will take place virtually on August 1, 2023, from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. A meeting invite with connection information will be posted at a later date.

The Pediatric Shift Care initiative also requests any individuals with expertise in the Pediatric Shift Care experience that is interested in participating as a Subject Matter Expert to support development of education and training content to please complete a survey indicating your interest. More information regarding the online learning portal will be shared during the next Stakeholder Update Call. If you are interested in participating, please take this short 2-minute survey: Pediatric Shift Care Subject Matter Expert Interest Survey. The survey will close on August 4, 2023.

The agenda for the July 6, 2023, Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) Subcommittee meeting has been released. The meeting will held in person at the PA Department of Education Building’s Honors Suite, 1st floor, 333 Market Street in Harrisburg, or via webinar. The meeting is scheduled to take place from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.

The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Advisory Board, established under section 1252 of the Federal Traumatic Brain Injury Act of 1996 (42 U.S.C. § 300d-52), will hold a public meeting on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The meeting will be held in person at the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network, which is located at 6340 Flank Drive, Harrisburg, PA, in the Cambria Conference Room.

Meeting materials will be sent out before the meeting and will also be available on the TBI Board’s website as well as the meeting location. Questions regarding the meeting should be directed to Nicole Johnson.

The Department of Health’s (DOH) Head Injury Program (HIP) strives to ensure that eligible individuals who have a traumatic brain injury receive high quality rehabilitative services aimed at reducing functional limitations and improving quality of life. The TBI Board assists the DOH in understanding and meeting the needs of persons living with TBI and their families. This quarterly meeting will provide updates on a variety of topics, including the number of people served by HIP. In addition, meeting participants will discuss budgetary and programmatic issues, community programs relating to traumatic brain injury, and available advocacy opportunities.
