The Committee will collectively discuss emerging Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) issues identified by four PCPID work groups in the areas of direct support professionals, employment, community living, and federal support programs. This discussion will help develop a general framework for the preparation of the PCPID Report to the President.

If requesting accommodations for meeting participation, please send an email request by April 17, 2023. Both ASL and CART will be provided during the meeting. Register here.

The RCPA ICWC/CCBHC meeting that was originally scheduled for April 11 has been rescheduled to May 24. This is so RCPA Policy Directors and members can view the House Budget Hearings for DHS, which are scheduled April 11. The meeting time will remain the same, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, as will the format. Please register for the meeting here, and note that if you registered for the April 11 meeting, you will need to re-register for this event.

This notice is a reminder that the Department of Human Services (DHS) is holding an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) public meeting on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm. The meeting will be held virtually and will provide additional information and updates related to the DHS EVV implementation. Please register to attend here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Positive Practice Virtual Meeting
April 6, 2023
April’s Positive Practice program sessions will focus on Human Trafficking. Hear from speakers at The Covenant House of Philadelphia. The Covenant House works with young individuals, primarily under the age of 21, who are facing homelessness and victimization. These individuals are often at risk for human trafficking, which is statistically increasing in the state of Pennsylvania. Individuals with mental illness and those with intellectual disabilities as well as autism are the most at-risk group. Join Positive Practice as they share best practices and available resources for clinicians, providers, and County/Administrative Entities (AEs). National implications will be discussed as well with other Covenant House programs across the United States.

Join ODP’s Professional Conference Series sessions in June to hear from representatives of Louisiana’s Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities Clinical Services (LA OCDD). LA OCDD published a series of white papers featured on the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services’s (NASDDDS) website highlighting resources in Adaptable Therapeutic Interventions and Multisystem Therapy. Sessions will feature both topics.

Community of Practice for Supporting Families Regional Collaborative Summit

A special brain injury provider meeting has been scheduled for March 21, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm to discuss the recently released Office of Long-Term Living’s (OLTL) Community HealthChoices (CHC) Request for Information (RFI). Members are encouraged to review the RFI prior to the call in order to provide input for the comments that will be submitted in response to the RFI, which are due by April 14, 2023. Below are some updates regarding the upcoming Physical Disabilities & Aging (PD&A) Division meetings that members should make note of.

The March 16 division meeting has been canceled, and a special meeting has been scheduled for March 23, 2023, from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the recently released Office of Long-Term Living’s (OLTL) Community HealthChoices (CHC) Request for Information. Members are encouraged to review the RFI prior to the meeting in order to provide input to the comments that will be submitted, which are due by April 14, 2023. You can register for the meeting here.

The next full PD&A meeting is scheduled for May 25, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Members are encouraged to submit agenda topics for this meeting (and all future PD&A meetings) to Melissa Dehoff.
