The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared ODPANN 24-002: Qualification Process for New Intellectual Disability Autism (IDA) Provider Applicants Update. The purpose of this announcement is to communicate the process for Administrative Entities (AE) to validate that new Provider Applicants have satisfied all Waiver Provider Qualification requirements effective January 1, 2024.

NOTE: Announcement 23-054 Qualification Process for New Providers will become obsolete as of the date of this publication.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared ODPANN 24-001: Notice of a Change to the Federal Reimbursement of Transportation Costs Effective January 1, 2024. The purpose of this communication is to share that the United States General Services Administration announced a change for the rate of Transportation Mile reimbursement rate, procedure code W7271, beginning January 1, 2024. The new rate is $0.67 per mile. This communication provides notice of the rate change, as well as instructions for Supports Coordination Organizations (SCO) on how to add transportation mileage to the vendor screen. It also instructs direct service providers on how to submit claim adjustments, if applicable. This communication obsoletes ODP Announcement 23-005.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared ODPANN 23-106: Medication Administration Train-the-Trainer Quarter 1 (Q1) 2024 Course Schedule, which announces the 2024 Quarter 1 (Q1) Train-the-Trainer Face-to-Face course schedule. All Train-the-Trainer Face-to-Face classes will continue to be virtual through March 31, 2023. Classes for new trainers and recertifying trainers will be held separately. Please refer to Announcement 23-105 regarding important changes beginning January 1, 2024.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared ODPANN 23-105: Medication Administration Paper Course Discontinuation Reminder, Online System Trainer Refresher Course, Grading Observations, and accessing the User Report (Initial Summary & Qualification Form). This announcement reminds Medication Administration trainers that the 2004 paper course and the 2004 and 2013 manuals will be discontinued and no longer valid for use in training students after December 31, 2023. The paper exam will also be discontinued as of this date.

The announcement also provides instructions on how to advertise an Online System Trainer Refresher Course being held in January 2024. In addition, it details instructions for trainers on how to grade Observation Checks in the Online Student courses and access the User Report (Initial Summary & Qualification Form).

This announcement provides details on accessing the webinar recording on CPS changes made in the recently approved ID/A waiver amendments. Please view the announcement for access information.

This announcement discusses the upcoming COLA increase to the Federal Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment, beginning in January 2024. The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has shared ODPANN 23-102: Now Open: Registration for Certified Investigator (CI) Initial Certification Course. The Initial CI Certification Course was created to ensure that all incidents requiring an investigation receive a systematic review that meets established standards. To perform investigations, the CI candidate must successfully complete all requirements of the CI Initial Certification Course. The CI Initial Certification process, as well as steps for registering for the CI Initial Certification course, are described in ODPANN 23-102. Please review the announcement for information and details.

As of December 2, 2023, Residential Habilitation procedure codes that reflect Needs Group 5 (NG5) have been loaded into the Home and Community Services Information System (HCSIS). These procedure codes have not been automatically added to provider service offerings. Providers will need to add the appropriate NG5 procedure codes via the service management screens in HCSIS. The instructions for adding a service can be found on the HCSIS Provider Updates Tip Sheet.
