The next Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for April 2, 2025. The meeting will be held from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Forest Room at the Commonwealth Keystone Building, which is located at 400 North Street in Harrisburg, PA. The Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) will host a webinar at 10:00 am on Monday, March 3, to discuss the changes to 42 CFR Part 8 and their real-world implications in treatment settings. The interactive session will feature Dr. Sarah Kawasaki and Elizabeth Ward, both from the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute’s Advancement in Recovery Opioid Treatment Program.

The Medical Rehabilitation Committee meeting scheduled for March 11, 2025, has been postponed to April 1, 2025, and will be held from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Registration details will be sent at the end of February. Members that registered to participate in the March meeting will need to re-register for the April 1 meeting.

Tomorrow, February 5, the House Human Services Committee will hold a second informational meeting on the treatment and support for Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). The meeting will be held at 9:00 am in Room G-50 in the Irvis Office Building of the Capitol.
The hearing will include testimony to be provided by the PA Department of Health, NeuroRestorative, Woods Services, Penn State Health, and Penn State College of Medicine. Following the testimony from the panelists, they will receive questions from the members of the Committees.

The Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) is providing the YouTube link from their last quarterly PSS Stakeholders Call that was held on January 14, 2025, as well as the presentation that was reviewed, for any interested stakeholders or individuals.
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. A meeting invite will be distributed closer to the meeting date.
